Isnt a hang mans noose easier to tie? Wrapping around rather than creating a loop and feeding through. Bit fiddly isnt it or is that the correct knot for that?

Here in America we call what you call a "blood knot" a "clinch knot". A blood knot here are two clinch knots to join a leader to the main line. This is just FYI, not a correction, for yes, I can see what you call it a blood knot. Thanks for your excellent instructions.

Thanks Myles. I'm interested in using this in Saltwater fishing. My big flesh baits obscure the hook gape even on a 7/0 hook. Which means I miss smaller fish.

Great video, i like 15lb flouro leader material in rivers. The stiff flouro resists rig tangles I get with more supple lines when fishing eddies and current seams. 17-20 lb mono mainline. Heavier flouro is almost too stiff to tie snells on small hooks.

Can't make mine work pull on 4 strands, and knot will not slide ,pull on tag ends and it slides, don't trust it on a barbel so doesn't work 🤷

I always have trouble bedding the knot down on 35 lb boom I just can't seem to tighten it down enough what am I doing wrong 🤔

I started using this loop about 6 years ago, essential for easily allowing the loop to bury itself within the boilie (or a cork ball - top tip) to form an efficient hair rig. Also, if I use a safeclip from main line, the perfection loop allows rapid rig-change without having to re-tie. Thanks Myles, this was probably the first YT video I saved to my fishing library

Just got into Spodding, will be doing this knot shortly with my 20lb Spomb Braid and 50lb Spomb Leader.

I really like this knot and use it all the time to attach braid to heavy mono. And you showed it very well, but consider this one nuance. When I am slow trolling a Dean for big Yellowtail, sometimes I just tie a super high quality swivel to the Braid with an equally super knot--like a Palomar (100 percent knot strength) then do the same with the mono. Sure it adds weight, but it is miniscule. The big advantage is tying while offshore--this knot is easy--in my living room, but offshore it is much easier for my old hands to tie the swivel--one end to the main line, the other end to the mono or fluoro.

Ok, si that meens that every time i have a fish i have to re do the join? If i use the helicopter rig 99% the fish pulls the line over the jointed part, that means the stop bead will go over that join and won't go back again. So if i catch 20 fish a day i have to spend 10 min after every fish to redo the join. It's a bummer.
